In our #ask-the-community channel on Slack, Mayra asked: “What phone systems is everyone using? I’m looking for something that will allow for call center queue routing as well as direct dial phone numbers for a large group of agents.”

CXCers responded:

  • PBX System: A traditional phone system currently in use by some, offering basic call handling and internal communication capabilities.

  • IP Phones: Use the internet to transmit voice data, providing more advanced features like call center queue routing and direct dial phone numbers for large groups of agents.

  • Dialed and Talkdesk: For call center queue routing and direct dial numbers.

  • Google Voicemail: For text-to-speech conversion of incoming calls and is converted into a support ticket (does not accept live, incoming calls).
